Brandon and his brother Ryan at the BBQ
Notice the ply wood in the back, it was so windy the flame kept burning out
So for those of you who don't know my husband, let me tell you a little secret..... he can't sit still and just relax on the weekends. Our basement is unfinished and we have a huge space for a storage room, so Brandon decided we needed to build shelves and get ourselves organized. He also surprised me when I went to St George and bought one of those food storage rotating shelves, now we just need the food to go in it. We were lucky this week and had one of his workers at the company come and do a bunch of different electrical projects. He added a few new can lights, moved switches that were in stupid places, added plugs and my favorite is the under-cabinet lights he put in our kitchen. It looks sooo nice!
Then to top it all off as I was in the 1/2 bathroom next to our laundry room I heard some type of animal making noises and moving around in our dryer vent. I swear there is some sort of animal curse on this house. We had a bird nest fall from our eves into our entryway wall last spring and we had to cut a hole in the wall and got out 3 dead birds and 3 live birds. Then Brandon sealed it off with some foam stuff and they pecked through it and started another nest this year, so our friend George who does stucco work came over last weekend and totally sealed it up. Now we have something in our dryer vent. By the time Brandon went to take the vent off the animal was gone...... until next time!!!
Saturday night we had Brandon's brother Ryan and his family over for a BBQ, the weather was windy and yucky but the steaks and the company were great!! We love having Ryan, Nicky and their darling little girls over.
I love the cabinet lights! I've always thought that was the greatest idea- glad to hear the crazy light switch in the guest bedroom is now fixed! You sure got lucky Tor! Brandon is great! We miss you guys..but we will see you in Pang-town in 2 weeks- can't wait!
ReplyDeleteShut up more animals! Just what you love. I am interested to hear what it is! We are back I will have to call you it was a fun trip. Your storage looks awesome, what a good husband you have. Well I hope all is well. Miss you too - tonz!!!!
ReplyDeleteBrandon is such a go-getter Tor! He makes me feel like a tub of lard. I could seriously use him at my house these days. We just bought those awful cabinet latches that will keep Stella from opening and shutting them 1000 times a day and they need to be installed. I am hoping that my dad can come up and do it over Conference weekend since we both know that my hubby is not a Brandon! Oh, and ewwwww about the birds, I have the creeps just thinking about it! Love you!
ReplyDeleteHi my love! Brandon is the cutest! I am so sure you were thrilled about the bird situation. We all know how you love animals! I miss you, and wish you were here! Hope you guys have a good conference weekend. Love ya!
