I thought I would post a few progress pictures, it's probably more for my benefit so I can at least see that we are going to get finished soon. On Saturday morning we had the curbing guys show up, it turned out so nice. I was nervous about what design and style to pick and I'm so glad we went with our first instinct. It looks a little dark still and will lighten up as it dries. The best part of our curbing crew is that they saw me working hard to fill in all the trench work from the sprinklers and they grabbed their shovels and helped me fill them all in. What would have taken me me 2-3 hours took them 20 minutes. Thank goodness I had made a pan of peanut butter fingers and had half a pan left over, so I gladly took them out a plate of treats. I still can't get over how nice it was of them to help!
Our front steps and rock work has been giving me grief trying to decide what to do with it. I eventually want a big water feature in the spot between the house and steps, but until that happens I worried it would just fill back up with weeds after all the hard work of cleaning it out. So Brandon had the idea to put down weed guard and then go pick up some rocks and just fill it in. Fantastic idea! I don't have to try to plant flowers in such a small space and I don't have to have an unfinished look until the water feature gets put in....
So now we just have to finish leveling everything and then the sod can be laid next week after we get back from a Memorial Day trip to Panguitch..... yea!
Torie it looks great. I know putting in a yard is never any fun. It's a lot of work and I'm hoping we are done buying houses where we have to put the yard in.
