Quick update.......
Just wanted to give you an update on my mother-in-law. She was able to have surgery yesterday to remove the large stone that was totally blocking one of her kidneys. She made it through the surgery just fine and was able to come home today!! YEA! She was diagnosed with Medullary Sponge Kidney Disease, so basically all the kidney stones are stuck in her kidneys. They aren't able to remove them and if she's lucky they won't try to come out. They will just monitor her and she should be able to control them with changing her diet, cutting out soda and drinking tons of water to keep her kidneys flushed. We are so happy it wasn't more serious and that she is home and in her own bed. Thanks for your prayers and thoughts!

I am so happy that the surgery went well. That sounds like a very painful situation.
ReplyDeleteOn a lighter note, I refuse to give up Dr. Pepper, until I have such an issue!
Hmmm, so maybe I should take the warning and drink less soda? I actually have been really good about it since the hot weather is here. I drink one soda a day and then everything else is water or some juice. Yuck.
