The tractor fit quite nicely in the garage.....
So it's official, we are now country folk!!! Just kidding, we are just starting our landscaping and we are lucky enough to live in a fantastic ward full of farmers who kindly offered their tractor to us. What an experience, Brandon had to excavate about 8 inches of our clay dirt and then replace that with good topsoil. What a very long day we had on Saturday, and it's only just beginning. We can't wait to get it done, I'll post pictures along the way so you can see the final results.
We did get some bad news at 4:00 am on Easter Sunday, Brandon's mom was in the emergency room with 150 kidney stones. OUCH! The doctor said he's never seen anything like it. She has been in the ICU since. They need to do surgery on her but her potassium and sodium levels are so low that she wouldn't make it through surgery. So we are praying and hoping that things will go as planned and she will be able to have surgery in the morning. So no Easter celebrations for us this year, unless you count sitting in the ICU with Brandon's family. We are so grateful for the season and for our Savior and the blessings we receive daily!
Oh my goodness, Tor. I'm sorry to hear about Brandon's mom. Ask Nicole how she faired with ONE kidney stone. How has Brandon's mom stood the pain of so many at once? She'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

ReplyDeleteOn a lighter note, Brandon looks so natural on that tractor, he is one sexy temporary farmer! I am so excited to see the pictures of your yard as it progresses, I am sure it will be beautiful as a finished product.
One question though: Are you going to keep the backyard lake or not? :)
That tractor is awesome!! Mitch would love to be driving something like that around! I am glad the your mother in law is doing better!!
